Pathways for Girls in STEAM

Summer Camps

The Pathways for Girls in STEAM Summer Camps are designed to provide opportunities for girls to explore topics specific to science, technology, engineering, art, and math. During the week-long camps, rising 6th - 10th grade girls who attend a middle or high school in the Cobb County School District will be introduced to STEAM career paths, while they learn and apply knowledge from these fields of study.

  • STEAM Camp

    Middle School Summer Camp (rising 6th - 8th grade)

    STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The Girls STEAM Camp is a week of scientific investigations, games, crafty projects, and fun! Sessions include: Garden Art, Water Machines, Drag Races, Bioengineering Fun, Electronic Bugs, Helping Hands, Delicious Science, Electronic Music, and Cinematography.


    STEM Shark Tank 

    High School Summer Camp (rising 9th & 10th grade)

    This Shark Tank inspired camp is a week-long innovation experience for High school girls.  The students will have a week to research, design and build a product to solve a campus problem. Design teams will present their innovations on the last day of camp in front of our campus community “sharks”. Not only will students work closely with subject matter experts to create their designs, but they will also construct prototypes to reveal during their presentations.

  • The camps are designed for girls who are rising 6th - 10th graders and attend a middle or high school in the Cobb County School District.

  • The camps will be held on Kennesaw State University’s Marietta Campus on June 24-28, 2019 (middle school) and July 15-19, 2019 (high school).

    The camp hours are 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM. Supervised drop-off and pick-up times are during the hours of 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM each day.

  • The Girls STEAM camp is free.  Please, submit your applications now as space is limited.

  • To sign up, fill out the interest form found here. You will receive an email by May 20th to confirm placement in the camp.
